Hi, I’m Chuck,
founder of RoadDawg BBQ. I started my journey in 1980 by joining the US Army. I was an engineer working as a rock quarry operator which supports all construction with the material needed for any project. Eventually, I becoming a supervisor and the Army’s subject matter expert in my field. During my active-duty years, I worked on different projects and was given the call sign “RoadDawg” and somehow it followed me. I had a full and successful career on active duty and retiring as a E-6 Staff Sargent. I moved on to civilian life and became a Department Of the Army instructor teaching the same job I had on active duty, and again becoming a supervisor and the Army’s subject matter expert in my field. I was honored and grateful to be of service to this great nation and to have a rewarding career. I retired from service in 2022.
RoadDawg barbecue is home style barbecue cooking that you would have at any family gathering. A low and slow smoking method is used with genuine hard woods as the basis of a great flavor profile. With my seasoning process, each bite is packed full of delicious flavor. I don’t use sauces during the cooking process because I’ve found they’re not needed with the meat’s flavor already being on point, but there are always sauces available for you to add another layer to your delicious meal!
